Heffernan Foundation continues to reach those in need in the areas of education, shelter, and food insecurity with the continued generosity of our insurance company partners, our employees, vendors, and clients.

How we give back?

EMPLOYEE MATCHING

Each employee is given the opportunity to donate $250 to a 501 (c)3 charity or charities of their choice and the Heffernan Foundation will match dollar for dollar.

PAYROLL CONTRIBUTIONS

Our staff contribute a portion of their paychecks each month into the Foundation.
In 2023, $295,000 was donated by 68% staff.
Funds raised are donated to nonprofits at the end of each year.

GRANTS

We offer grants to nonprofits meeting our core areas of funding. Grants range from $2,500-$10,000 on average.

  • Education, shelter, food insecurity
  • Applications are by invitation
  • Nominations are accepted yearly by Heffernan Group staff
GRANT-A-WISH
  • Provide a wish for a deserving child ages 4-18.
  • Wishes Granted: Disneyland, Disney World, Colorado Dinosaur Dig, Day on the Bay + Giants Game, Summer Camps
  • Application sent out in March of each year

VOLUNTEERING
